What colours go with grey?
Warm grey (greige) pairs with off-white and light wood as the dominant, a warm note like terracotta, blush or ochre as the secondary, and black, charcoal or brass as the accent. Avoid pure cold white and an all-grey scheme with no warm note.
Our grey is a greige: a grey warmed by taupe and beige undertones, not a bluish grey. That warm base is what makes it feel lived-in rather than clinical, and lets it sit happily with wood and warm neutrals. The rule: always give it a warm note, never leave it on its own.
The pairing
What works, and in which role.
The backdrop that warms the greige and stops it from turning cold or sad.
The essential warm note: it wakes the grey up and confirms its beige undertone.
On joinery and frames, it structures the grey and adds definition.
Warm metal underlines the greige's undertone: the safest way to warm it up.
Avoid
- Pure cold white: it makes the grey look dirty and flattens the room.
- An all-grey scheme with no warm note (the "sad greige" trap): without wood or colour, the mood goes flat.
Where to use it
Living room, bedroom, study, hallway.

Frequently asked questions
Does grey go with beige?+
Yes, as long as you choose a warm grey (greige), not a bluish one. Greige and beige share a taupe undertone, so they blend rather than clash. It is in fact the most natural pairing for our grey.
Grey and wood, does it work?+
It is one of the safest accords, and the one we recommend most. Light or mid wood warms the greige and confirms its beige undertone. Only avoid heavily greyed woods, which cancel that warmth.
In which room should you dare grey?+
Anywhere you want calm: living room, bedroom, study. On the walls as the dominant (60%), with wood and a warm note. Just avoid a cold grey in a low-light room, where it would turn flat.
